I'd considered selling it awhile back Johnny and there are a couple cars I'd like to buy if I did but... So not saying I wouldn't sell it, but I really do like this one a lot - I sold Brett his Black car to buy this one (Sherwood Green/Green top/Pearl white buckets, low option, all matching #'s - '70 Stage 1 4-sp. w/all the correct stuff). PM me if you want to talk about it.

Johnny, you can buy that car with confidence.....it’s 100% legit and correct. When I got it, the only thing missing was the original carb. I had one in my stash that was date correct for it’s build. It may also have had headers on it, not sure on that. I recall putting stock manifolds back on it but not positive. Good luck

thanks Chris. i have confidence on buying the car just need to beg borrow and steal to get it. its not cheap. i may also have to sell the 69 GS 400 to put me over the price just in case i need to do something to it. Been sitting for a while and the owner when he bought it maybe only put a couple hundred mile since then.

Does the numbers on the tag in the bottom picture match your Vin The second picture the Vin number should be stamped going right to left it’s hard to see in the picture on the bottom.

The first picture is the casting number of the case which is correct.

The second picture you posted has the VIN on the pad. It's at the bottom of your picture.

Great looking car it’s a shame it wasn’t driven much if so you wouldn’t have the most issue.

Did you get a chance to check the engine code near the dipstick ?

I've seen those tags before but don't know what they're for.

Nice to see you finally grabbed it. Just in time for the spring.

I noticed a couple things in the engine bay that need correcting, so feel free to post some nice close ups once you get settled and we can help you rectify them to bring the car back to Day 1.

The alternator pulley should be a double pulley. Looks like the voltage regulator has been changed, which means the alternator is probably different from OEM.

What's the harness in that plastic tube?

There's a phosphate clip that bolts to the intake and holds the heater hoses that I believe Todd Miller carries.

That's what I can see from your pictures. They'll need to be clearer and better lit for a better look.

I posted a picture of that tag on the Muncie Facebook page and am told that's the part number for a '70 M21.
