This will be interesting to see what it brings restored. Yes, its my 65 GS. Wonder why they didnt mention ORIGINAL MILES in the description?. . . https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0521-461108/1965-buick-gran-sport/
I remember when you had this car for sale on the forum. Did it sell and someone else restore it or is this your work? It looks great.
Beautiful. "All Girls Garage" did a heck of a lot better job on that car than the girls (orig. owner & her girlfriend - yea) attempted on my '71 GS convertible in the late 80's. Only thing they did right was to have the bumpers re-chromed & fortunately they never got far enough to install 'em, lol. Owner died & the basket case sat in the girlfriend's garage for 25 years untouched until I got it.
Idk, but surely not nearly as much as it cost to buy the car & have it restored. Idk anything about '65's buy woukd love to have one someday - Were redlines not avail.?
Car looks great! Wonder how much of a restoration it actually got. It obviously has new paint. Can't tell if the interior was redone, but IIRC is was decent when Wheelz had it. Interesting use of a wheel center in the horn cap! And does the engine look blue to you guys or is he pic off?
... and WildBill, perhaps you will also drive the Gold 71 Stage 1 "ZONE CAR" vert across the block too, our friend Bob Stillwells old car!
“ restored “ on AGG is a stretch . Guess that’s what they’re hanging their hat on . Engine paint looks dreadful.
FWIW, . . you guys are guessing. . . .AGG NEVER restored the car...and I never said they did. . .AGG was NOT that kind of show. All they did when I still owned the car was replace fuel system, new tank, fuel lines, brakes & lines, some suspension work... bearings, tie rod, center link etc and exhaust system. The fello that bought the car from me, HAD IT RESTORED... dont know by who. Original color Fire red. White interior. Documented mileage as stated on title and authenticated with original oil change receipts, battery and tires receipts from original owner. ALL documentation went with the car when I sold it. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Last line in the Mecum description says.............."Restored on All Girls Garage, comes with video of episode"
...good point, however, AGG is a 30 minute show.. . .the SELLER is incorrect. I was there for the entire filming.
Wheelz do you have a picture of the body tag by chance? Thanks! So the artic white and flame red are correct right!?
