I have put their products on 3 cars now and am truly impressed. They sell a kit for GS cars: https://www.carid.com/powerstop/1-click-z23-evolution-drilled-slotted-disc-drum-brake-kit.html The heavier the car the more they seem to "work". On my wife's SUV you could feel/ hear the energy disapate during heavy to moderate braking. They are quiet (no grinding), smooth (no grabbing or pulses), and virtually dust free.
I may have to check out their pads and shoes. I have slotted rotors from them already. I'm running manual disc in front and larger SportWagon brakes in rear.
I have that set up on my Regal and am happy with it 20K miles in. Stops on a dime and virtually no dust on the wheels.
I am happy to see this thread. I just ordered a full front and rear kit from them along with Wilwood dual piston calipers. I am expecting fantastic results. Cliff
Anyone have any input on the Powerstop Z36 setup they have for trucks and towing? I will be in the market soon for brakes for my 2016 Colorado that I use to tow my 66 Skylark. Thanks.
I have them on my 2012 Ram 3500 DRW - replaced calipers as well as pads. It took awhile for them to “set-in”, however they are quite impressive now that they are set. I did have a heck of a time getting the money for my caliper core from them. Took almost 4 months and numerous calls and “promises”. I suppose the proof is this - would I do it all over again? Yes I would, I went from having questionable braking ability to stops almost instantly - last part, they work better as they are warmed up. (I pull a 18,000# 5th wheel about 8,000 miles per year. I have had one of their kits on my 2004 2500 Suburban for a few years now. Way better than the stock set-up!
Since it's been a few years, I'm not sure which ones I bought. The rotors are all drilled and slotted and it came with pads too. I used the stock calipers, which I ended up replacing the front ones, about a year and a half ago.
Ok, so I found the email from 2017 this afternoon. The kit I have on the Suburban is the Z23 4-wheel kit.
