Does anyone recall if the back of their pump looked like this? It looks like the arm is being held in with ABC gum.

Thanks for the pics Scott. I was hoping to get this on the car tomorrow, but will wait until I speak with the mfg.

All is well...the epoxy is something he started putting on the pumps as insurance to keep the pin in place.

I thought that might be the case.

    Dumb this down for me:

What needs to change on a stock Stage 1 if I was to upgrade to this pump?

The metal line from the pump to carb. I made my own AN line for that. The return line and feed line (if you are using the originals and not upgrading) can be used but may need slight shortening or lengthening to rubber lines.

That ABC bubble gum is going to end up in the oil pump pick-up screen. It will likely do nothing to hold that pin in. The manufacturer needs to re-learn how to swage properly. Yikes!

I just purchased the same pump and it is epoxied in the very same way, I'm also not very happy about that.

Are you using a filter with the line between the pump and carb?

Yes, a RobbMC one inline between carb and pump.

How did you guys route your fuel hose between the pump and carb? I was planning to take it down behind the distributor and then hanging a clamp off the power steering bracket. This way seems uncomfortably close to the exhaust manifold. On the other hand going over the PS pump and down seems to long. Just wondering..

I decided to reuse the metal tubing and cut off the end. This minimizes the amount of rubber running over the block.

I made an AN line. Routed along the lines of the stock line. I put some rubber line slit and metal zip tied over rub areas.

I'm going to bend up a nice stock looking hard line from pump to carb. I'll post pics when I do.

I purchased this to make a clean 180 bend off the metal line and into the pump. The section of tubing has several molded bends and you cut out what you need.
