I bought a couple of sets and I think they look great. They even give you two versions, one for an original dash bezel and one for an aftermarket dash bezel because the radius on the left side of the steering column is different on the two.
I never realize how far off the reproductions are that are out there, till I saw his display with originals and all the reproduction beside each other , he did a excellent job on them !!
Yep, awesome stuff. Double the price of the others on the market, but it's worth the cost. He had a really nice setup at his booth, too.
Exactly as I've said (are you listening repro vendors?): Make the stuff right and it costs what it costs. Nearly the only parts that are correct are those that Buick guys have stepped up to make - IIRC Mark has a Skylark that was his mother's & that he was brought home from the hospital in. Once he has the non-A/C version done, I'll get a couple sets. Hopefully he'll join V8buick.com (I urged him to) and comes to next year's Nationals (in whatever form & wherever that takes place). Was great to finally meet you Adam!
I think Slater and I were the first to order non-A/C sets. We were told 8 weeks to receive them in the mail.
Maybe I'll order a couple sets then. Was great to meet you and get to talk for a while. Glad you're doing better. Hopefully we'll both have cars there next year.
Just an FYI... I asked through his website about a set for a non-A/C car. He has been very prompt to respond & he told me he is extending the sale price of $95 until May 31, 2021. He said lead times for delivery are 10 weeks since he sold out at Bowling Green. I suggest you contact him through his website www.dashwoodgrain.com if you are wanting a set at the sale price while he is offering it.
Great product. Worth every penny. Great person to do business with. They are looking to do the floor console console woodgrain and well. Highly recommended.
Received my "Non-AC" dash inserts today. I am very impressed with the product, with Mark Wajda, and with the care he takes packaging his product! I thought he sent me a computer hard drive or something. The package was that heavy.
Mine arrived late yesterday so I thought I’d share the detail that went into packaging the decals. Alcohol wipes included.
Mine arrived yesterday. Talk about Gorilla proof packaging and top notch quality! I can't wait to install these. Anyone have any tips for getting the old stickers off?
Mine came yesterday, the FedEx man could of run the package over and it would have survived! Looks great. I also looking for tips on old decal removal.
I'd like to thank Brian Young for starting this thread to help spread the word about my new dashboard wood grain product. Your thoughtful recommendation has really helped and I sincerely appreciate it! I would also like to thank everyone who placed orders and patiently waited for their kits to be delivered. I'm very happy that everyone likes them so much! Going forward, I will keep them in stock so that I can ship in a day or two at most. I want to also point out that I have removal tips in my installation instructions, which hopefully will help out. They can be found on the product installation page of my website at the following link: https://dashwoodgrain.com/product-installation/ BTW, I am working on the inserts for the consoles at the moment and hope to have them available for sale by years end. I am open to any suggestions you guys might have regarding ways to help gain more exposure and support. Thanks again! -Mark Wajda
You rock Mark! Great product, I was one of the first to buy from you at BG. I was the deaf guy on the handicap scooter. I sent people over there all day.
