WTH? Crazy. Buy 'em both & sell one.

Reserve but he says they'll sell to the high bidder?

Do I see a detached trim tag and vin tag with that build sheet :rolleyes::D
Could be a decent long term project for someone that likes yellow :)

Wasn't there some deal several years ago in TX with 2 or 3 GSX's? Same cars? Even the Sunray, TX part sounds familiar. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them is one of Ray Whitts old cars. I looked at a GSX he had back in the early '90's and the one (seemingly the worse of the 2) might be that same car. It didn't have the orig. (any IIRC) engine but was a reasonably solid shell - I should've bought it back then - He wanted maybe $2k/2500 for it IIRC.

Would be interesting to find out the deal with engines/transmissions and what if any critical parts are missing (wheels, tachs, trunks, spoilers, etc.). Definitely Trim/Vin plates have been removed from one. Looks like a decent parts hoard that's included but not a very well defined deal w/no detailed listing of exactly what's there (orig or NOS) so who's to say you win the auction and may/may not get everything? Would really need to lay eyes on it all and be standing there bidding when the auction closes and transfer possession of the storage units & install your own locks. Quite the job to transport it all too.

    Still, quite the opportunity.

Looks like the guy has a reserve price. Interesting to see if he has a case of Barrett Jacksonitis.

Lower & probably still not a bad deal @ that if the bodies are decent but the devil is of course in the details.

    Interesting scenario @Brian Albrecht:).

  15. STAGE III

STAGE III Lost Experimental 455-4 Bolt Main Block.

Depends on how many times the seller bids:D

Looks like a real potential PITA and money pit with no motors and needing full restorations.
Doubt anyone would get rich on them

    72STAGE1 STAGE 1 & 2

The other guy in the current GSX thread “ GSX is it worth saving” needs one of these for the re-body to save his rusted out X , then there would be little discussion left as to its legitimatcy.

I wouldn't kill one GSX to save another. The body on that other one looks pretty fixable to me & I have all the original/NOS sheetmetal on-hand to do it. At what he paid for that one, and w/the tach & steering wheel it came w/, it was a doable project w/o being too far under water. Biggest problem hurting it's value as a completed car is it being the most common configuration (std. 455, yellow, A/C) but at least is numbers matching. On these two you seemingly wouldn't have to invest as much in sheetmetal but best case is you have one of them w/a matching #'s Stage 1 trans. Who knows what the other one is besides being an automatic. Maybe get lucky & it's also an orig. Stage 1 car.

So here's a hypothetical question: What's more desirable &/or valuable - A matching #'s std. 455 GSX or a non-matching orig. Stage 1 GSX (amount of sheetmetal work not withstanding)?

How about a #'s matching std 455 GSX that required a lot of sheetmetal work vs. a non-#'s matching Stage 1 car that retains all it's original sheetmetal?
