Amazon bought Woot and is offering Valvoline VR1 20w50 for $19.99 for 6. https://tools.woot.com/offers/valvoline-vr1-racing-sae-20w-50-motor-oil-2 Patrick
That was on sale in 2019. Created quite a feeding frenzy. Amazon had to cancel orders when it went out of stock. There were rumors the low pricing was a mistake.
Thanks purchased a couple of cases yesterday. FWIW, I found this on the B body mopar forum. https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/custom-blending-valvoline-vr1-test.196003/ Custom blending Valvoline VR1 test Here's something I've been curious to find out with some surprising results. I have a quart of 10w-30 and 20w-50, both in Valvoline VR1. Part# 822388 & 822347 respectively. For this test, both containers were stored at 75°F. Using a Ford #4 cup, I timed each oil 10 times and took the average as a good representation of respective viscosities. The 10w-30 had an average of 26.15 seconds. The 20w-50 had a 63.92 seconds average. I then poured an exact equal amount into a measuring cup and mixed the two oils well. Took another 10 samples of the mixed oil and came up with an average of 36.80 seconds. Taking the times from both oils (90.07) and splitting it would be 45.03. Not the case in this test. It seems only slightly thicker than the 10w-30. So even at a 1:1 ratio it will still be closer to 10w30 than 20w-50 viscosity.
