No one knows what will happen here, and anyone who says they know is talking out of their you know what.:) The investigation is in it's infancy, and everyone knows that this takes time. Let it play out, and then if you think that justice wasn't served, you can criticize everyone or anything that you want.

What isn't mentioned is that Alec Baldwin killed a completely innocent person. I'm guessing he knew, and liked her. He has to live with that no matter what happens to him. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, even someone I didn't like.

Give it up Larry. This one is being wrapped in tin foil like many other threads. Time to flush

One of the basic rules of firearm safety: you don't point a gun at anything you don't intend to destroy. The camera should have been controlled remotely with no one anywhere near it but Alec when filming the scene.

If what they were filming required the appearance of live rounds in the cylinder as the gun swept the camera, then IMO they should have used either powderless rounds, or use snap caps (a dummy round, a single slug of aluminum machined in the shape of a live cartridge) and paint them to look like real rounds.

If the shot required Alec to fire at the camera, I reiterate my first statement. Nobody else should have been anywhere near it.

Baseless conspiracy theories have no place on V8buick. They have a political bend to them. This thread was doing just fine until they were introduced. We need to stay away from that or this thread will not survive I think.

Bottom line it was a failure by pretty much everyone there who handled that gun before it got to Alec, including Alec himself as well as the director or whoever controls who is positioned where during filming.

How can you guys manage to claim that anything you don’t like is a “baseless conspiracy theory”? Furthermore how can you claim it has a “political bend”.

Are we only allowed to follow the one narrative created by the media? We know they label anything they don’t like as a “conspiracy theory”.

I’m sorry but I’m running out of conspiracy theories because they are all becoming “conspiracy facts”.

    Pretty sad state.

I still haven't installed my new plug wires and plugs. Also time for an interior vacuum. ;)

Conspiracy theory by definition is baseless. Read the first sentence in this Wikipedia link,

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theory

"A conspiracy theory is an explanation for an event or situation that invokes a conspiracy by sinister and powerful groups, often POLITICAL in motivation, when other explanations are more probable."

I can't research conspiracy theory because there are no credible sources to support it. People and organizations can make up anything they want, and then publish it as an essay or video, and on the surface, it seems comprehensive, but it doesn't stand up to critical review.

To illustrate my statement, suppose you assembled a learned group of people to ask a question on a subject. Say your group was 100 in number. 98 of them say one thing, and 2 say something completely opposite, something way out there, with nothing to support it. Do you believe the 2? Do you believe them despite not being able to verify anything they said? If you do, you may be a conspiracy theorist.

You can't help yourself it seems. You inject this into a thread whenever you get the chance.

I'm trying to leave this thread up. I've deleted several posts so far, but if I see it going down hill, I'll lock the thread. It will be the first thread I have locked, but JW asked me to do this job, and I'm going to do it to the best best of my ability.
