I just realized that the core support bushings are in upside down on the GSX.

Now the trick is, can I sneak them out and put them back in right side up without having to take the whole nose off?

My thinking is to loosen up the fender bolts, remove the 4 dog leg bolts and jack up the core support just enough to flip them. Do able?

Yes. Do one side at a time. Remove nut and bolt. Jack up support on that side just enough to slide out bushing. Reattach. No need to loosen a bunch of bolts on the front end. It should only need to come up an inch or so.

Not so sure, what about fender braces, isn’t the grill tucked under the front bumper and I would think head light bezels would hit the fender unless you unbolted the fender to move with it, could be wrong just thinking through it on my 69 if I had to do it.

Good point about the grille and headlight bezels. I’ve done this twice, but come to think of it, I didn’t have those pieces on the car yet.

Definitely doable without taking the nose off I think. Bumper comes off easy enough. I think its just a question of what has to get loosened. The support only needs to come up what? An inch or so?

I never loosened anything but the core support bushing bolt that I was working on. An inch up front is all you need. Just work it a little at a time if you're worried about gaps. But I never had any issues, not even close. And both were freshly painted cars.

These cars flex all over the place when driving. You won't have a problem lifting the core support a measly inch.
