These cars are probably fast as he11, the one with the parachute more than likely needs it. There is a guy named boost doctor that has a 4 door Caprice, like the one on the top rear, that runs way in the 9's(possibly 8's) with those big a## wheels.
When is the last time any of you seen a 80s Ford Escort EXP. Saw one yesterday while in Cheyenne for a Dr. Appointment. Tim
Most of them didn't make it to the 90's. My wife then girlfriend at the time bought an 82 EXP with low miles off a sleazy used car lot back in 85 or so when she was in college. Within a month it started puffing white smoke, head gasket, then electrical issues, was the biggest POS eva. Went to the boneyard in 87.
My best friend had a turbo EXP. It wound up blowing a supposed forged piston, after having it about 3-4 months. Just driving it normal. The local Ford Stealership (and I do me Stealership) wouldn't fix it. Wound up defaulting on the loan. The Ford dealer in Rapid City was almost black balled by the local Air Force base because of there dealings with the people stationed there. Tim
I wish I had thought to take a pic, but I was staring too hard! The weird-er thing was it had 6 wheels, tandem in the rear. Just driving down rt 123 in Oakton. The strange front was very striking, then I saw this: Its the replacement for the Military Hummers. Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (or JLTV). Made by Oshkosh, civilians can buy them if you pass a background check. $250K and up. I wonder if Rocky knows?
My old girlfriend bought a new one back in '82. I wasn't too impressed with it but I didn't tell her. It definitely wasn't fast but it made up for that by handling like crap!
Fort Lauderdale. Figured out that "Sinister 6" was the name of the vehicle, made by Apocalypse Manufacturing right here in sunny FLA. Lots of pics online.
I checked out their website. For a vehicle that I am sure costs a lot, there sure wasn't much technical info on it.
