"Worth" restoring? Probably not. But neither is mine and it's probably a better starting point although not much there to get excited about. Not a well optioned car - No PW, N-25, etc.
I looked at this car last weekend at the Estate Sale it came from. It has rusted out rear body mounts, inner rear quarters are really rusted, put your hand through rusted. He is pretty honest saying it had bad body work but the pictures don’t show how bad it is. Front seat recovered poorly. Engine bay looks pretty grungy. It is a good running car though and could be driven and enjoyed as is. They wanted 10K opening bid at the Estate Sale and I passed but I wasn’t really looking to buy a car. If y ou wanted a running driving original GS350 Vert it might be a decent buy. Just my 2 cents.
I know of two '71 GS (350) convertibles right now that'll never be restored. One for sure - see pics. Haven't seen the other but my understanding is it's very rough. Nobody in their right mind would restore mine but for some reason(s) I've taken a liking to it & even it's way better than this one:
Just noticed on the above car the "Z" on the trim tag. Looks like Saddle (156) & Stratomist Blue (26) must not have been recommended together. There's prob. Some decent parts mixed in all that mess (surprisingly the LR qtr looks decent) but what a job it'd be to harvst them. I might've bought it if the hood &/or rear bumper had been decent.
Stratomist over saddle would be sharp ,...Jason Line has the 70 in stratomist over burnished saddle,..doesn't sound appealing but WORKS
