If anyone is truly in need of an extra capacity 350 oil pan, I do make them and have made them for years. Modified stock steel pans or aluminum............
Steve made my aluminum pan. Best decision I made. My machinist was even impressed with his work and that wasn’t an easy thing to do.
Steve, jist thinking ahead... Could you make one for a 350 slightly deeper/baffled that at first glance would look stock?
Sure it's possible. I've done that with several 455 pans. I'd need to start with two pans and cut and section them to create one pan that is slightly deeper and with a full sump vs. the crossover notch. Not cheap though....... lots of labor involved.
Thanks. I figured not cheap. Even 1-1½" deeper is probably worth a quart/less windage wouldn't be very noticeable.
We have the new oil pans in the building, but have had a hard time getting a pickup tube made. We can sell you the pan, but you will have to fab a pickup tube at the moment.
Wow, seems like that'd be the easier part. Price on the Pan? May have you bring me one to the Nationals if you go.
I can make some pickup tubes "in a pinch", but I don't want to be a supplier of pickup tubes. So if anyone orders a new pan and needs a pickup......let me know. I would need to know how deep the pickup needs to be off of the pan rail. I try to allow 1/4"- 5/16" clearance with no gasket.
