Little did we know all this time that the "'H' IN THE VIN designates this vehicle as a true 1971 GSX Stage 1, not a clone." https://www.hemmings.com/classified...html?utm_medium=email&utm_source=saved_search
Even the whole VIN structure is off! "1971 Buick GSX VIN 434371H153150" With the internet, you would think they would take 2 seconds and do some research.
I have known about that car for years. A lot of the sheetmetal has been replaced, floors also. Wrong engine, carb, dist, Wrong N25 tips, ect. I think when the doors were replaced the power windows were added. There is No proof it ever was a GSX, None. Would make a nice driver... Consider it a Clone GSX stage-1. It is also posted somewhere on this forum under cars & parts leads, it was on craigslist. I think last year.. From what locals know about the vehicle it was a GM employee order GS 455. Starting bid $40k, I think that is more than was listed on C L. Auction: 1971 BUICK GSX VIN 434371H153150 | Teel Auctions
More pics on the auction website. Looks like reproduction floor pan was used. 1971 BUICK GSX VIN 434371H153150 | Teel Auctions
After looking at the photos I seem to remember seeing photos of it in the past (the white floors are hard to forget) and maybe it was discussed here on V8Buick.com previously. Verdict was that it is likely a real 1971 GSX but no documents to prove it 100% ?
At first, I thought it was the same car that was on FaceBook a few months ago and was done quickly, but it is a different car. Here is the cowl tag/VIN on the Faceook/Johnny Dribble car (not the one this thread is about). Also built during 03A.
The car is on assignment. It is an original Michigan car, of coarse that is why it needed so much metal replacement, or repair. .
