After reading all the replies I have started to acquire the bulbs needed for the interior. I’ll start with a green dash but might turn to blue later. Thanks to all who replied. Frank
what color are the interior lights supposed to be for a 72 centurion? are they green or white or that amber look?
I think all the lighting back then was sought of dull amber, the color of an incandescent bulb. I like the bright white that the LED bulbs provide. Everyone has their preference and opinion. I've never seen green lighting on our cars, but you can easily convert to that with LED lights.
i want all the lights non dash super bright white but i want to dash to give that soft glow. would warm white leds give me the look or should i use an amber bulb?
LEDs come in all colors and intensity. They have amber LED lights. Just need to find what you need and like.
I like the led lighting the interior, much more brilliant, the incandescent bulbs, while warmer in their appearance, always looked like the battery was going dead Green dash lighting reminds me of a Ford. Red lighting reminds me of an 80’s Pontiac.
i just want it to feel like an old house radio does when you turn it on. mopars had green as well back then. im looking at doing amber seems to give that glow i want.
I used the bright white bulbs in my dash and and AutoMeter gauges... and I like it! Wow... guess I need to dust the lenses on those gauges too.
Those original bulbs give you the correct feel, look & ambiance of the car's era. Just part of the cool factor of a classic car....
