I’m sure I’ve posted this and put my memory fails me quite often lately. How do you remove the dash pad out of a 67 skylark? I know that there is a few screws on top. Seems to be stuck on the sides. Somebody posted a picture from the manual but my eyes are also failing me so I don’t know what I’m looking at. Ultimately I’m trying to get the pad and bezel I dropped the steering wheel column expecting to see more screws there for the bezel but nothing was there
Scratch that i got the dash pad off now have bezel about off but trying to figure out how disconnect from guage cluster
Scratch that, – and bezel off lol I went to get a quote on Dash repair it and it was 650 minimum. It’s a bit too high for me. What other dash will fit in here? I think it was Chevelle that looks identical. I can get one of those for half the price.
The only dash resto services I know of are Just Dashes and Dash Pad Pros in El Paso. Either one is $$$ The group at 65gs.com had a batch made by DPP a few years ago. The only other dash pad that will fit a 67 is one from a 66, and it is thinner than the 67. You can try finding an upholstery shop and have them cover it in vinyl. There are a bunch of videos on youtube if you want to try your hand at DIY.
Yeah I’ve been watching YouTube videos. Doesn’t look too hard honestly. Most likely going to go that route of re vinyling my dash. Looks like some foam filler and Bondo from what I see. Should be an interesting project.
Nice dudes thanks! I actually started on fixing the dash myself. And posting the progress on YouTube. give me a follow and shout out on my comment section your channel

You've made good progress so far, looking forward to the rest! I may have to attempt this someday. I'd probably use the urethane spray foam like you did, shape it, then apply a thin layer of foam followed by vinyl. I've seen (on the tv shows) where they use a grinder/sanding disc to shape and smooth the foam. Maybe you could try that. I'm sure it makes a mess tho. BTW, here's how Just Dashes restores them:
Well damn Man yesterday I was thinking to myself how nice it would be to find A clip of some sort that would perfectly fit in there. I guess if all else fails and my idea doesn’t work out I can Do this. Thanks for the idea
