https://www.facebook.com/marketplac...wse_serp:ad86b147-20e4-48b5-9a04-c44047b12f15 For sale is a 1969 Buick GS400 coupe. The odometer shows 97462 miles. The car was in the family for 40 yrs.. It is a project and does need work--it will run on a gas can. Buckets with floor shift automatic. Has 6 rally wheels. The worst rust areas are the rear panel behind the taillights and the trunk floor, around the battery tray and D/S front fender. The interior floors look solid. It originally had yellow paint. Most of the trim is there it was a vinyl roof car. I have the title. I am not interested in a lot of dumb questions. If you are looking at this car you more than likely know what it is all about. $3,000.00 takes the car. Please be sure to see the pictures. Message me with your phone number if you are interested and I will give you a call.
I feel like it should be "the thing" every year,..we got 5 already Im gonna get the 67 GS 400 4peed rat I picked up going as a daily beater here soon
Exactly what I was thinking. It's 20 minutes away from my mom's house and I just got back from there. If I was still there...?
This is beyond beater. I can smell the mouse/rat/raccoon piss and sh*t from here! Let alone the mold and rust... This is a parts car. Nothing more. Could it be restored? Sure! But why? This one can let others live...
I was going to say the same, but I didn't want to insult a board member if it was someone here. Just being realistic. This is an $800 GS at best if it were me pitching. Even that would be too steep tbh.
NO F'ing WAY TOM!!!!! I looked at it for a hot second... Then thought about the time to chop this up, all of the dust, getting cut up, having my neighbors look at me crossed eyed, then storing all of the parts, then taking the parts out a year later to use on a project only to see they turned to sh*t, then buying better parts.... Nope... all set with that!~~~ LOL
LOL George I hear you, but be honest. If you where 15 years younger you'd be knee deep in it? Also sorry, but I think your neighbors will always look at you that way.
I doubt anyone is restoring it but I could see it as a beater if the frame is solid. Not a big fan of that stepchild yellow but I like how the red has worn off & you can see it. Of course even building a reliable beater takes time/money/space.
HA! If this car came up 3 YEARS AGO I would be dragging it home!!!! Fortunately, my elderly neighbor on 1 side is currently restoring a 69 Chevelle Yenko clone and has a 72 Rally Nova, the kid across the street has a vette, a firebird, a Mercury Marauder, and a friend that has a 68 442, and so on... Family neighborhood but a TON of gear heads!!!
