A great car in a great song video

    I spotted this one this morning. Once in a while I see them in music videos and have to smile. :)

    That video was filmed in The Netherlands, that Buick was also registered in the country, it was scrapped in the late 80's.

    The location of that tunnel in the photo is in Rotterdam, later on you can see the driver (Golden Earring front man Barry Hay) heading for Den Haag (on the signs above the motorway), the city where the Golden Earring were from.
    For some reason Den Haag (The Hague) has always been the "American car capital" of the country:

    Two years ago the band decided to stop making music, because of the illness (ALS) of gitarist George Kooymans.
    They've been around since 1961, first as "The Tornados", later on as "The Golden Earrings" and finally their name became Golden Earring in 1969 or so.
