I think it is beautiful as well. I would need bulletproof documentation (eg. original BOS, factory build sheet(s), etc.) for any high dollar 1971 though.
"360 HP" Huh?? Sharp car but it's almost 2024, so: if you're advertising a numbers matching car, show us these numbers that match. Especially when I comes to a '71. Period.
Add to that, no underside pictures, the 4-speed pictures consist of 4 pictures of the shifter (lol), and the documentation is a Storyboard, geez.
Ill be at this Auction to get eyes on this car and check the numbers. This was sold by Verillo Motorcars about 5 months ago and they were asking $109K. No mention of numbers matching in the old advertisement. Lots of Resto pics though. Here: https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1709297/1971-buick-gsx-for-sale-in-clifton-park-new-york-12065 Also there's a video of it open YOUTUBE here:
This car has been discussed several times on here. If the same car I'm thinking of (orig a 350 car? - Check the frame part #), somewhere I have a pic of the trans stamp it didn't look right. Not "not right" like my Stage 1's (happens I have a pic of another M-21 made the same day that looks identically bad) but "really" not right. If anyone is serious I'll find the pic but I'd want to get some eyes on it.
If this was the car that was there last year I looked at it, and it was NOT a 455 car. The numbers were clearly marked on the frame.
There's your blue GM door sticker. I think you should start using them as a finishing touch on all your restorations.
Might not be worth anywhere near $100k but it sure is a nicely done car if you look at the Resto pics and the video. Id love to own it. And Brett..ill even remove the door sticker to make you happy when I see ya at the shows! Most likely It will go beyond what im willing to pay!
