I was offered a fairly new 2000 Series II 3800 V6 that was a Super Charged vertion. I was told the compression ratio and many things are different and would not be able to make this work in a non SC applacation. Can this engine be made to work or I'm I waiting my time?o No: , Thanks, AL :beer .
Al the Comp Ratio on the supercharged version will require premium fuel-- as far as the rest ---it should bolt right up to your FWD tranny---the only thing I could see is you wouldnt have a BOOST reading on your dash instrumentation. Pete
Al,if you go to REGAL.org and do a search I'm sure you could find one. Pete http://www.regalgs.org/forum/index.php
Al - Check out www.motorswap.org - it used to be L67.com Also check out www.gmtuners.com - he's done plenty of different swaps.
Because of the lower compression I run 87 IF I'm not going to get into it....like driving somewhere in the cold and rain. Especially if the barometer is low. Saves some gas $$$.
