You won't catch her on the V8 Buick site , but my wife is more than happy to scrub door panels and interior trim , as well as scrape old rustproofing off of inner fender wells with a heat gun. Along with ordering patch panels , GS hat and various Year One items for Xmas , Birthdays and anniversarys . As long as she can go for rides with the top down , there's no complaining about "our" car ! :beer
Kevin: It's great to have a girl that likes cars! Mine actually helped me rebuild the front end of our ugly Suburban! She replaced the wheel lugs in the new rotors, rebuild the hubs and helped put the thing back together. In 25 degree weather! Helps me do oil changes on the garage floor, even gets grease under her nails once in a while, when she isn't wearing her own pair of MechanixWear gloves. What a gal! :TU: When she first saw the 67 GS 400, she didn't bat an eye. She said "Oh, that's pretty! That one needs to be done next!" I wouldn't trade her for a 1970 Saturn Yellow Stage 1 4-speed GSX!
You are a lucky man! Although I can keep car parts in the house, my wife 100% does NOT support me in the car hobby at all. Besides the lack of $$$, I really think thats why I still don't have a quick car.
I don't know about Kevin's girl but mine does. Sorry though guys, the sister is both married and living in Germany. Almost as sweet as my own though.
She's got a sister who wouldn't drive her dad's 74 Vette. It was free, gassed up, insured and in the garage for 20 years. I know she never drove it, washed it or even THOUGHT about working on it. I'm not sure if she even rode in itou: . Granted, it's not a Buick, but come on ! It's better than the Cavalier, Civic, CRVs that were daily drivers for her. She DID notice the 455 badges on my car and comment " Does it have a 455 Rocket ?" (Country music fan .)
