I don't really care about this place closing down, it's cheaper for us to buy and ship parts from North America.
The topic starter is from the Netherlands, not from Sweden. About those Swedes: They have to be smart and buy their stuff now with a 50% discount. But most of the times it's even cheaper for them to buy in North America, European scrap yards have ridiculous prices: An used brake drum for a 1980 Electra for 75 Euros, that's US$ 101.15......:eek2: We have this bloke here, he's loading up containers in Arizona with used car parts and ships them to the Netherlands. His rule of thumb is: Prices are 1.5 what he pays in Arizona. So what do you pay in the US for a drum like that ? US$ 10.00 ? He ships it to the Netherlands and you get your drum for US$ 15.00, and that's only 14.15 Euros :Smarty:
yep in that view you're right erik but you can sure have good bargains now with the 50 % dicount on engines and other stuff aswell i'm gonna have a look if i can find some stuff i need for my century even tho i asked that guy ( rik ) to see if he can find some parts for me in arizona ( mainly big stuff ) but the smaller things i hope on finding it there Greetings Lennard
