Not mine, this is a lead. It's a beauty and it's got plenty of paperwork. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-GSX/323416928155?hash=item4b4d26af9b:g:CoIAAOSwMudbhBVT&vxp=mtr
This is a fantastic GSx. I do have interest in the chrome seat position change knob. I always thought Buick changed those to black knobs during the mid 70 model year changes. For this reason I thought all the GSX cars had black seat track knobs. What is your experience? (It is an easy change and no criticism of this beauty is intended. )
I recall the seat adjust knobs on the GSX I owned being black. Maybe the fellas at Flint held back a pair of the chrome.

Great work Brian! sounds like the "1 owner" claim is a bit of a salesman's stretch if he sold the car 4 years ago. Maybe the new owner never transferred the car into his name? Either way, not a true "1 owner" car.....
Nick , Great work as your other restos. Want to do a Yellow 70 GSX Stage 2 iron head 4 spd ???? Only thing it takes is money !! Bill
Brian, I knew of such a car in Castle Shannon. It sat behind a restaurant called The Grove off of Rt88. Was the original owner’s name Walt? I never saw the car personally, but I knocked on his door over 20 years ago and asked about the car after I was told of it’s location. I think he told me back then that he had sold the car to someone in New York. Again, this was a long time ago, so I might be wrong.
Man, what a small world. And yes, I think he did mention something about a family member taking it and restoring it. Maybe that Nephew was in New York? I never saw the car. Was it a stage 1? All I was told was it was a saturn yellow X. They had a car cruise at the Grove every Friday for a long time till the place closed. They packed a lot of cars in that little parking lot back then.
I believe this is the one that I directed him to Nick... I think it was going to just get a robust detail job and turned into a full blown restoration. If so I have pictures before the restoration.. Nelson
It's back with a "buy it now" or make an offer option. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-GSX/323431704500?hash=item4b4e0827b4:g:CoIAAOSwMudbhBVT&vxp=mtr
While the GSX looks great, I doubt it is a real GSX. The build sheet off the gas tank is not for a GSX and there is no other documentation provided. If it had true documentation it would be of interest.
Just out of curiosity, what makes you think the build sheet isn't for a GSX? Did you not see all the other docs provided? What other 70 GS's had a Q-Q paint code?
I have a 70 GSX with the original sheet off the gas tank. For example, the steering wheel code shown on the E-bay listing is 4W, where a GSX is RX; the tires code should be OL, where the E-bay listing is AC. A photo of the cowl tag would go a long way and documentation from Wayne Roberts would be absolutely necessary for spending that kind of money. I have looked at a lot of build sheets and that just jumps out to me as wrong. Art
So the build sheet VIN doesn't appear to match the car's VIN. 272513 is on the build sheet, and all the other paperwork says 272949
