    Hi,

I have several in the pipeline, currently driving my 65 Skylark that was put together in 2009 as a body fit, since then a 64 Special my 65 Special now needs work, a 47 Gmc/425 nailhead and picked up a 65 Cutlass that's getting a new drivetrain shortly.

    And I still have a 64 Skylark that I've had since 94.

I always tell the wife Leno has more than a 150 so I have room to catch up, Although she then reminds me of our pay gap lol

    Regards,

My 70 Skylark is my driver and I will keep it til I die or can no longer drive. Always upgrades planned, never really done, done.

My project build now is a 78 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 , non-numbers matching, flip car. Whose proceeds will benefit the Skylark , of course. JIM

I have 2 projects, both 1966 Skylark Gran Sports. One is from a late member here (Sambora Rocks) (also 66kooch) and is a 4 speed convertible loaded with options. The other is the hardtop CA black plate car I picked up last year after CJP posted a lead. Once I’m retired I can get going on them, all needed parts have been collected.

    Duane,

That 442 will look great when its finished. I know a guy with a gold convertible (don't remember the color name) that has been sitting in his garage forever it seems. Seriously, I don't think it has moved in the twenty or so years I've known him. He always says its not for sale that he is going to finish it. I jokingly tell him if he doesn't hurry up, the grim reaper will have to finish it.

Might have to turn the Wildcat into a project again, took it out for a drive and it felt sloppy as compared to the Electra. And, when I got it back into the garage, the "HOT" light came on. That's usually never a good sign considering it was about 60 degrees out and I didn't open up the 4 barrels.

For me that is a big YES!!! All but one that we own is a project in one form or another. The non project is our '17 Lincoln MKZ.

My green car will never be finished, it's always something with that thing. White car I have a few minor tweaks slated, but in no rush. Currently when I get a few minutes of "me time", I'm sloooowly chipping away at the dune buggy I picked up a few years ago that was originally built in 1975 by my grandfather from a beetle that was owned by my dad.

My 69 Riv is my driver and project. I'm always adding or fixing something. It will eventually be done, the interior is almost done with the exception of refoaming the front bench seat. The power train is still a work in progress (building a 70 455 currently) and then I'll move into redoing the suspension and then finally clean up the body a bit and repaint it. I would love to have a 68 Coronet which was the car I was going to buy but literally the night before I was set to go pick up the coronet I seen the ad for my 69 Riv. I immediately fell in love and called off the coronet deal. I also would like to one day have a 69 mustang fastback, my dad had one and he always wanted that car back he said it was the one that got away!

I've owned this Thunderbird for 25 years. The first 10 years I raced it pretty regularly, it's had a 460, 514, 552 ci engines I've updated it many times from just a bracket racer (8.80s et) to a top sportsman and even to a competition eliminator. The last 15 years it been on jack stands and to my chassis guy. It's been totally updated. I built a 4 stage dry sump 552 hemi boss engine, replaced the lame powerglides with a 4 lenco. I'm thinking a nostalgia pro stock, just can't seem to get over the hump and get it done.

Aren't they all project cars? Seems like mine are never done because I'm always changing things. If only I could learn to just leave things alone. But I know that's never going to happen, it's just not in my DNA :D

I got a 1964.5 "D" code 289 convertible (originally a coup) mustang a relative gave me. It sat out in his sons yard for over 10 years with a leaky top... His son passed and he gave it to me/my son to take care of. Only thing I have done in one year was buy a new battery, and get it cranked. Doesn't take up as much room as the GS, but fun to putter around in.

The only car I've got that isn't a continuing, never ending project is the Infiniti I own half of with my parents so they have something to drive when they're down visiting from Alaska. The other 6 need something done to them nearly every month.
