Good morning Buick enthusiasts! I started a new thread for the "Get together" because awesome people are already asking what they can bring. So I started a poll that is viewable before you vote. So here's the scoop.

3rd annual "Get together" February 1, 2020 Time: noon till whenever...
Address: 217 Henthorne Dr., Palm Springs, Fl 33461
Contact info. this thread, my phone 561 722 0922. You can call or text. Please leave a message if I don't answer

Party info. This is a BYOB. We will have plenty of ice on hand if you need some. I can also supply cups if you need some.

My wife and I will supply the meat. Slow cooked in a crock pot pulled chicken and pork, (not Walmart's), along with a variety of BBQ sauces. Plates, napkins, and plasticware.

Parking: My house is on a corner lot. We have about 240 feet of swale and you can also pull right up in the front yard if you like. The neighbor across the street lets us use her swale also, and the neighbors next to me don't care if we park in their yards either. My Oak trees might drop a few leaves on your car in case you have a convertible top down.

I think that covers all of the bases, but I'm probably wrong. GSFred has already responded. He is having his beautiful 67 GS shipped down this year. Yay! Take me for a ride Fred!!! Jim and Retha, AKA IlliniGSX responded and they are bringing their beautiful GSX over from the west coast. I believe it is a 1 owner car, or Jim has owned it forever! Feel free to correct me Jim. Steve, AKA Briz, came down last year from the top of the state. He brought his beautiful Riviera. This year he said, "If I come I'm bringing the Wildcat." I haven't seen pictures of it yet, but I'll bet it's a beauty! Mike Jones, AKA Mike Jones:)>, said he'll be here with his beautiful 70 GS455. He's got to do some finagling to get off. Hope it works out Mike! Hector, AKA Hector, down in Ft. Lauderdale wants to bring his beautiful 70 GS455, but it's his son's birthday. Hector... tell your wife his birthday is Friday, or Sunday. Don't tell your wife I said that! :)> My buddy Milton, AKA Stump puller, lives just a few miles away. He couldn't bring his car last year because he was waiting on a Tri-Shield Performance 482. It is getting Dyno tested very soon and Milton is hoping he'll get it in the car in time for the show.

That's about all I know at this minute. If you have any questions feel free to give a shout on this thread, or send me a text or call.

Any food I might bring will probably not be fit to eat by the time I arrive.

If the host wants it, its his. Otherwise, first attendee who wants it gets it. Just not my thing.

    Dang Steve,
Very nice! I like the idea of prizes!!! There will be lots of turbo cars here. I'm sure one of them will be very happy to take your gift home and proudly enjoy it!
On a side note, I was thinking of bugging the local auto parts stores to see if they would sponsor some prizes for a fun raffle. Thanks Sir!

    Good morning all,
Last Saturday my son, Alex, went to a local car show. He met another Buick owner, Steve, and told him about our "Get Together." Steve said he'd definitely come to our gathering. His wife said she'd make some cookies for dessert. I like cookies! Steve's got a nice 71 Skylark convertible pictured below. Sorry about the guy walking in front of the picture.
I've been talking to Buick owner's I've met this year at car shows and getting a pretty good response. It still amazes me how many Buick people don't know about the V8Buick forum. I'll be back later today.....

I'm back... First I want to announce I changed the starting time to noon. Why? Because my wife told me to! Anyhow, if you want to get here earlier that's fine with me. The food won't be ready though until a little after noon.

Next... I'm calling out a couple of people we met at this years GS Nationals. This shout out is going to Big Mike and his buddy Fernando. My son and I met you at the campground this year. I believe you all are from the Lakeland and Tampa area. You all said you wanted to come on over...... I know they're on this forum. Does anybody no these guys?

The next shout out goes to the awesome ladies volunteering under the big tent at the Nationals. First, a BIG thank you for the work you do!!! I forgot your names. Sorry... I'm terrible with names. I believe you told me you all were from the Tampa area and you said you were interested in attending with your husbands. Come on over! You were also telling me about an upcoming BCA meet somewhere around Tampa this year. I'm interested!

Andrew, It would be sweet if you had a Buick, but I am certainly not going to exclude you because you don't. Come on by and bring the wife and beans. My high school buddy is going to show up in his really nice 68 GTO. Heck, he might surprise me and bring his daily driver Park Avenue, but I'd rather see his GTO.

Jim, "DasRottweiler"... thank you for the lead! Yes it was Fornando from Alvareracing.
Fernando called me today, but unfortunately he and his wife have to go to a wedding that day. He was bummed. He really wanted to come down south. There will be next year. We are going to meet up in the campground and continue last years party though!

    Good morning Buick enthusiasts,
Less than 2 weeks until the 3rd annual Buick Get Together. I had pretty good luck securing some prizes from some local auto parts stores. I'm still going to hit up a couple more parts stores to see what else I can get for us.
To Jim and Retha, (AKA IlliniGSX), my son, Alex, tells me he's got a real GNX coming. We were thinking about parking you two together if that's OK with you. It would make a great photo shoot! I'll understand if you don't want to be parked next to a measly 6 cylinder with wires and vacuum lines going all over the place. Their engine compartments look so confusing to me, and they have to do that weird thing before taking off fast. You know, the brake and gas both on trying to wind the little 6 cylinder up. Unlike the mighty Buick big block with tons of torque. They just floor it and take off like a rocket!
I've been busily trying to get my 68 GS400 convertible back together again. Not so much for the Get Together, but for my son's wedding on Feb. 22nd. His wife to be wants to ride from the church to the reception hall with the top down and a smokey burnout leaving the church! Well, she didn't say that, but my son did! We're even doing the decorated cans dragging along behind the car. My luck a can will fall off and I'll get a $250 fine for littering.
We had a big birthday party here last weekend, so the tables, chairs, and coolers are already here. Now all's I have to do is hope for GREAT weather!
I also made a photo album book up of the first and second Get Together. It'll be on one of the tables. Take a look through it and you'll probably see yourself if you attended either event. Yes, up north Steve... there's even a couple pictures of your car's burnout marks on the street!
That's about it for now. Give a shout if you have any questions.....

You need a black carpet set for that 68? I think I have a brand new extra set from OPGI, unless it disappeared...

I think I am saying hell yeah. Bring it on up with you! I hear you're meeting Steve to get your air cleaner back.
