Well here I go again,..same ole story haha I'm sure this will look familiar to most of you,...I bought it,...didn't get what I was hoping for,..but nothing new there. Here's a few b4 pics So pretty much everything that looks good was destroyed or pretty well fubarred from the fire,...basically starting over Coilovers were destroyed,..wheels are junk,...brake calipers will need to be rebuilt and freshened up,...the diff will need to be rebuilt as the bearings are rusted,..panhard bushings were destroyed,..frame needs some more welding and bracing done. Appears to square and straight best I can tell It is an Art Morrison "Pro Street" setup. Recieved it last Friday and here is how the weekend went Blasted the Strange Aluminum center chunk today along with the rod ends and misc stuff will get that stuff all dolled up this week and repaint the frame after I address the welding it needs. Body is ROUGH,...the roof will be replaced,..the LH 1/4 will be a CHALLENGE,..as it is warped beyond belief as is the tops of the fenders,..dash panel,..cowl screen,...and driver door,...hood and deck lid were beyond destroyed,..the tubs are pretty warped as well but can be repaired
Powertrain will be what all true Prostreet cars must have,....a 871 Blower,..sitting on a mild 462 to get started and then I'll do a nice forged rod setup probably based off a 400 or 430 block for the increased cylinder wall thickness it provides Wheel and tire package has been ordered and is the most $ I've ever spent on wheels haha,..but this build is getting the best I can possibly afford it will be close to 8weeks b4 they are ready so I'll wait and reveal those when they are bolted on the finished chassis Performance goal is pretty mundane for now 700ish hp and some mid 6's in the 1/8th ultimate goal is mid 5s when I get a nice long block under it
What sucks is I had a perfect 64 post body few years ago and give it away,...could ve swapped the tubs over and been done in a weekend
Either "Midnight Aqua" or I've always really liked "Tahoe Turquoise" one of these two I feel pretty sure
