That color shines nice in the sun! https://www.mecum.com/auctions/dallas-2020/collections/hills-hot-rods-square-body-truck-collection/ Hills hot rods is just up the road in Lubbock from me.
Damn that's gorgeous! You should buy that GS and store it in my shop Joe! I'll keep it well maintained ( except for back tires ) for you and all..... I'm your buddy!
Yep,always lost my a$$ on clones butt sure looks nice . I can hear it now though "Ohhhhhhh...... It's not a REAL GS? Give ya $4800 for it and you gotta take the offer right now" would send anyone like that packing but is normally tough if you ever plan to resell. This one looks like a keeper that was done right though : )
I bet if you listed that locally on your average website with cars for sale as a 1970 Buick Gran sport your average Joe would never know the difference and what to look for
Well....... I should be of said out here in California as far as Buicks go.... Not much love here for the Buick untill you pull away hard from a light without screaming tires..then the next light "hey what size motor you have in your cutlass" ahhhh ya know small block with a RV cam
Nope, beautiful car but not even a GS-350 or as I like to say: “Glorified Skylark”. Would be a cool car but will always be a Skylark & bring a little better more money than Skylark if the bidder keeps it in good condition before the day they sell it IMHO. Hard enough to get reasonable money for a real GS. If I had money (which I don’t) I’d go up to 10k but stop there to keep from taking a bath on it down the road. “ HIGHLIGHTS 1970 Buick Skylark upgraded to GS 455 Stage 1
Watch it there buddy on the GS 350 cars, lol. Prob. not that inaccurate a statement exc. you couldn't get a 4-sp. in a Skylark. Back in '86 I looked at a really nice (all orig., 50k mi., rust-free, gar. kept) bench seat/col. shift '70 GS 455 and remember saying to my friend that was with me, "it's basically a Skylark w/a hood & a 455", lol. Took the same money & bought a '70 GSX in really poor cond. instead (you have a WG wheel & the "sX" grille emblem from that car). She was asking $4200 for the GS 455. Left there and said to my friend, "let's go knock on the guy's door w/the GSX (everyone had tried to buy it) and I guess it was the right time and he sold it to me for $3800. Otherwise I'd have probably gone back & bought the "glorified Skylark."
well......except for the GSX.......that is a GS with the clown package an old timer told me a long time ago, but now I am the old timer and he is dead so there it is.......
