Thanks Jim. I'm going to send two bezels out for mock and testing because I'm not using my car that much right now and I want to see how they work before I technically start selling them. There's a good chance that I may be moving to a bigger shop this spring. My ideal place would allow me to have my two molds for the hood set up and still have a big work table for other parts. Along with that I can put my old GS clone shell in there for doing mock up as well as new part development!

Any thoughts on making a modified radio delete plate to hide gauges when installed in one of your bezels ? I was going to try to get a quote on a 3D printed piece if ur not interested. Thanks

Not to hijack this thread but I’m waiting on a quote to make a modified version of a delete plate that would cover the gauge pod when installed into a radio bezel. Didn’t know if it was possible to make them in fiberglass?

with the radio delete plate, i am wondering if there is enough room behind the plate to mount some gauges. Like make the delete plate have a hinge so that you can hide the gauges behind it and flip it down when racing or driving and flip it up so it looks clean when parked or at the show.

I had gauges mounted in a radio bezel with 45deg mounts a few years back. It was pretty slick but with a delete plate I was going to mount standard 2.125 gauges flat and try to make a delete plate that was a bit deeper in depth hollowed out to hide the gauges when car is parked etc. . I’m going to work on it more this week/weekend to make sure there is enough room to make it work.

Well I finished laying up the first drivers side headlight bezel. The first time you use a new mold you always learn stuff and this wasn't any different. I'll pop these off the mold tomorrow and see if A) can I get them off the mold without damaging them, B) did I made them too thin and C) will the two pieces fit together with a minimum of sanding and cutting to make one bezel!

I'm continuing on the next hood, I completed the main hood layup yesterday and started trial fitting the underside section today.

Pulled the radio bezel mold off the shelf, I'll wax tat and try and get another one completed this week.

Hell, while I'm multi-tasking I pulled an old incomplete project off the shelf. A fiberglass dash replacement for a race car where you can use to mount after market gauges. This is just a factory dash I'm using for the plug to make the mold. I think I'm going to fill in the area where the headlight switch is located since I know if I ever get around to running a completed dash, I'll just use a toggle switch or a rocker switch. I have to sit down and decide if I can include the factory "arms" off each side and top that mount it to the metal dash. I may just set it up that you have to make a few small L brackets to mount it. The two screws holes that go up through the top into the dash pad will still be there.

I hadn't thought about it at this point because I'm waiting to see how they work real world. But I see the repops of the stock one is $65 (I think) I was thinking about $40 when I start selling them outright. What do you think?
