I'm really curious to find others that have a 1962 215 v8 high performance 2 door hardtop in camelot rose. im told my car is very rare especially in its exceptional original condition.. if you have one like mine or know someone that does please let me know.. thanks
Amy... What a beautiful car!!! I knew one person that had a car like yours. Mrs. Motta, my childhood buddy's mom. My brother and I would be playing at Mike's house. Mrs. Motta would come out and say, "I'm going to the store. Anybody want to go?" Oh heck ya! Mrs. Motta drove crazy, in my opinion. She'd floor it, and then coast, over and over and over. My brother and I LOVED her driving! That little Buick hauled butt!!! Your car is a keeper! By the way, Love your Avatar also!!!
I’ll just say I bet it’s the ONLY car with the options that still on the road. There may be 6-10 in sheds or rotting away but I’ve never seen one at a show or recent pics.
Driving crazy must be a mom thing! I love the pick up speed in this car! I read somewhere its 0-60 in 8.5 sec! My 1st classic car was a 1962 corvair I say was because I just sold her, after I bought phoebe I didn't like driving miss Daisy.. her 80hp engine never bothered me because after winding her up she liked to fly, but the buick even though it's the same yr and 4 mo older than the corvair is no comparison.. the only thing I dont like about the buick.. I get the oh my gramma had one, my aunt had one, the LIBERIAN had 1! maybe they were all women a head of their times and knew class, and not just quiet meek woman lol here are pictures of my corvair i got her blue then I made her mine. added a vintage nos jc whitney front grill, cal kustom rear grill, 59 caddy taillights, bumper guards, nos vent shades, new carpet and maintained her mechanics very well.. shes in Ohio now, hope being loved as much as I loved her
I even have a tool box and help work on my cars! lol trixie fink is my fave.. corvair had pinstripes too.. I made her into my little 80 hp hotrod.. probably shouldn't have sold her but only 1 car garage... oh well
You found a great car in amazing shape for its age. The two toned color choice in both interior and and exterior is a very nice combination that will get noticed and a lot of thumbs up /wave from envious car collectors. It would be a "keeper" in my book and you should have a lot of fun tinkering and personalizing. Congrats and thanks for sharing pictures of that time capsule!
