Uggh. Those cars look eerily similar to several in the El Paso pick a part 8 - 10 years ago. Near impossible to sell much of anything - due to short window of availability, and logistics. The gold coupe would have been nice to have to fix up as a daily. But, have to imagine there is all sorts of nice stuff, under that white vinyl top. The grille is different than a '77 grille I had, a different model, or is it a '76?

man, both of them waaaay too nice to be in junkyards, how does this even happen in 2021? I see absolute crap in and around ATL on CL and FB marketplace, with terrible rust, and folks think they have a 3 to 5 K car. Someone actually taking decent care of these to last 45 + years.... yeah, the Century's had the waterfall grill, don't really know if anything else was different on them vs the more expensive Regals.
Atlanta’s PAPs are full of crap like the background-red Grand Ams and a lot of GM 3.6 timing chain victims like the black Cadillac. (Plus every Audi A4 ever built). Patrick
The Chev built 60 degree V-6 was weaker and less durable than the '89-'93 Buick 90 degree unit. Have not experienced 3.6 failings, that engine was also used in the Rendezvous SUV, correct?
I think they’re all part of the Chevy 60* V6 family but the timing chain issue started about ‘04 with the DOHC version that also had variable valve timing. The long chain combined with long oil change intervals and supposed bad metallurgy means rattles, CELs and big money. Currently in El Paso. 1976 Century. Near perfect body. Am not buying anything off it, maybe someone here within a days drive can benefit.
