Update: Ended up going off the reservation. Found some local 14” wheels cheap in great shape. But….(always abutt), 3.5 back space. Decided to take a chance and ordered 255/70R14’s and slapped them on. Fit/looks great. Add center caps and lugs from Cars Inc and done. Total cost $1,078. Pros: cheap, looks good, easy Cons: if I lower the car, I’ll need wheels. Locked in to ‘skinny’ rubber. High rider (looks bad) (yes, yes, subjective I know. I kinda like the look, but by today’s fat tire dropped look it does kinda look funny). All in all one more thing that’s expanded my learning on these cars. Thanks all who contributed.
It looks pretty good. These cars look best with the Buick wheels in my opinion. Good choice to stick to the 70 series tires. 60s are just too small diameter. I run 15" wheels on my 66' now but ran 14" ones in the past. Greg
No rubbing just got it going ..it does have bigger sway bars so little body roll which I'm sure helps
