Fit 255/60Rx15 Tires on Standard 15x7 Rallye Wheels - '72 Skylark?

    I'm getting greedy.... I know that 245/60R 15 tires will fit, but what about 255/60R 15 on 15x7.

    I understand that probably should be installing them on 15x8 rims but I'll probably die of old age before reproduction Buick Rallye rims will be available again.

    No issue with that they will fit fine.

    I put a set on 15x7 and they were fine..

    Thank you Sean and Redman.

    I forgot to ask... Any reason to believe that the rear wheel wells of convertible 1972 Skylarks are smaller than those of hardtop Skylarks? I assume not but I have to ask.

    I think 255's will bulge out just the same amount on 7" rims as 275's do on 8" rims.
    255's on 8" are square sidewalls.

    No they are the same size. A 15x10 with 305/50-15 fits

    I currently have 255s on 15 X 7 Buick wheels on the front of my car. There are no issues.
