Got the car running and was checking the brakes but noticed my rim was wobbling. I tried the rim from the other side and it had the same effect so it's not the rims. I ordered a dial gauge to check the axle flange vs the rotor seat but until I get it I wanted to see what you guys thought. Also if it is the axle where is the best place to get one? 70 455. I would pull the rotor and check the runnout on the hub. A warped rotor can cause that. (and having anything where the rotor/hub mate)
I have an axle out of a '70 rear sitting in my shop if needed. The shafts & flanges do have runout. I think there's a spec in the service manual.
Not too bad on the rotor. I made sure all the bolt studs were centered in the rotor this time. Maybe that was the issue or do you think the tolerance is too big? https://youtube.com/shorts/_W9csFp9C1s?feature=share
Okay, so here's what I think happened just in case anyone else has this issue. I'm running z6 z06 rotors and calipers. My left side rotor wasn't being centered by the hub because of some damage to the hub ring making it smaller than the rotor hub circle. I cleaned up the inside of the rotor and the hub mounting point then when bolting on my wheel spacer I made sure everything was centered and that fixed the issues.
