That track needs to have their scales calibrated ,....no way it's that heavy,..my 70 GSX with a box with 2 12s,..10 speakers,..AC,..iron heads,..3in exh etc etc was only 4200 with me at 165lbs

    Congrats on the win tho

I assume you're not limiting throttle travel that combo should be around 8.30s on the high side and 7.8s on the optimistic side

    Is the shortblock healthy?

I know you habe a 950 carb on the way and was asking about intakes,..but there is something going on here,..what's the best mph it's ran?

Hugger, The vehicle race weight is high because they race with 2 people in the car (13-16-year-old teenager and an adult co-driver). https://www.nhra.com/jrstreet They are not allowed to go below 9.00 in the 1/8 mile.

    Tommy V,
Cool to see a teenager with a Wally! Congratulations on the win and also for getting another generation interested in the hobby. Thanks for posting this because I was not aware of this race class. My 13-year-old son would LOVE to do this. I need to find a track in our area that participates. Thanks.

Car is loaded up in weight to slow it down. Probably 400ish lbs of ballast. We normally run a 9.0 at 75 mph

Only required the Summet Racing stckers. Think i'm going to get one of those door magnets to put stickers on.

It is a great class, and a cheap way to get your kid racing in the family vehicle if need be.

Oh, OK. I’m sure it varies by class. Some years back a friend runner-upped at an NHRA Divisional race and the prize money was something like $1,200 but he received about $10,000 in contingencies. I don’t recall the exact numbers but remember being surprised by how those stickers added up!

I wish JR Street had those payouts! MY car would be covered in stickers!

Congratulations! I have been to the Division 1 Bracket Finals back in the mid-2000's running in the street class several years in a row and there is some serious competition. Everyone is there for the same reason - they are the best to represent each track. Quite an accomplishment.

Thank You. Your car was one of my favorites to see at the track. Hope to see you there to let my Son see what’s possible.
