    GS Kubisch THE "CUT-UP" BUICK

I follow a page on Facebook for Turbo 400 drag race builds.

A fella from the Detroit area shared these pictures and was wondering if it "belonged" somewhere before he builds it.

Be nice to have, i have plenty of buick jd transmission i could give so he has a good piece. Especially since for dragrace he is going to gut all the stuff we like about that trans

It took 25 years, but I had a motor/trans from a 71 GSX that was finally reunited with the car..

I suspect this is a later build date vehicle by the number 3. Could look through the Stage 1 registry and see if anything pops up.

Full VIN in case anyone ever searches: 446370H311290 or 446670H311290

I was a bit disappointed that when the car was restored that the original drivetrain wasn't reinstalled but you certainly did your part.

    The 90 looks like a re-stamp job

    It most certainly does.

I zoomed in on my tablet and there is definitely an "8" beneath that 9.

Looks like there may be one (8) underneath the "0" as well.

I'd guess a factory mistake being it's only 2 digits that were off and 1-2 cars down the line assuming they came down reasonably in VIN sequence. Those numbers were stamped at the assembly plant.
