70 SS block on FB marketplace

A SS Blue Block ??

 

Looks like 40H275028 so incase anyone Google searches their VIN it would’ve come out of either 446370H275028 or 446670H275028

 

Very Likely painted Blue by some aftermarket stock rebuilder in the last 53 years... I know several of them that painted every GM engine blue, this was back in the 80's when they were still doing a lot of them. The second character of the block VIN dictates it's vintage .. 1970

 

I made a window sticker for someone that had a VIN very close to that and it was for a GSX. Less than 200 numbers away.
Not saying it was out of a GSX, but around the same build date as the GSX's

 

I think I know of that one?

 

A reunite would be cool. Doesn't happen often, that's for sure.

 

hey mike, when you say {less than 200 numbers away} what exactly does that mean? cars in line during assy? or something else? vin is only 81 away from my stg 1 gsx!

It took many years to get the motor and car reunited that I had,but was well worth the effort.

 

My local network is down right now so I can't look up the exact number but the VIN is about 200 numbers higher on the GSX window sticker I made.
