Looking for a full set of 5 of the 69-70 flat center 14x6 Rims that are JJ code to fit disc brakes up front.

Live in NC willing to drive (within reason) for pickup. Will be traveling to Philadelphia next weekend and could pickup, so if your close to 95 or near Philly (say NJ or NY or nearby), let me know.

If you only have two rims, let me know as well, that could work and get me started.

    Thanks
    Nick

Nick is looking for the 14”x6” Chrome wheels, not the painted ones.

I have a set of rims out of a 70 GS 350.I don't know if they are original. I also have one for a 67 .I do have a 70 GS 455,with disc brakes.I will try them on my car to see if they fit, and I live in NY about a half hour east of New York City. That would be Long Island. Philadelphia is about 2 hours from me. Bruno.

Does anyone have a good pic of the 69-70 style hubs with the "flat centers" and the 71-newer hubs with the "raised centers" so the OP can see the differences?

For the early style you can use a pic from a WG wheel as the hubs are the same.

Had these handy. On the earlier (flat) centers, the line just outboard of the windows (created by the coining process after punching them out) isn't as defined either.

I think it's possible since the OP has a '70 & is presumably looking for its correct wheels (correct me if I'm wrong here) that he's confusing the rim profile (JJ) with the wheel code (WE).

    Thanks for the pics.

Yeah I know about the wheel codes and they could be coded either “6.0” or “WE”, depending on when they were produced.

I told him about the “JJ” because they are generally the ones that clear the disc brakes, while the “JK” wheels do not.

    And his car has discs.

I figured you knew about the codes:).

Interesting as my '70 Stage 1 orig. came w/chrome wheels and disk brakes - Presumably 6.0 or WK which show JK profile. If JK won't clear the disks, then they presumably wouldn't have been offered w/disk. I know this was an issue on earlier cars w/dual piston calipers but maybe not on '70 w/single pistons?

    Dano,
If you could check to see if your 70 JK wheels clear the 70 disc setup I would appreciate it.

Just trying to help a guy out with getting the correct style wheels for his car. (I have a set of 71-newer 14” Chrome wheels he can have, but they are not correct.)

Otherwise he will probably go with the WG style 15” rims & tires, and that is going to be expensive.

I have some JK's here but not the orig. for my car. I need to check anyway as I was going to put a set on it - Currently has incorrect/later 15".

I have four WO wheels that I purchased for my 67 GS because I had planned on installing Disc brakes. I ended up selling the car before I installed the disc brakes. I cannot check until first of the week.

I have 4 rims 14 inch but still mounted to tires. Can you tell codes without breaking them down?

Yes, the codes are on the back side of the wheel.=)
