I like your ideas of smoke testing, I've thought of different test's also, I'll put the time in to doing this, it's gonna be fun:D

Maybe Gary himself can do your heads enough to please you.

I do hope they sell them.
Im out tho, Im going old school, doing it myself to my irons, not the best option for a performance increase, but Im going to work with what I have, THAT will be enjoyable, and save thousands doing it:D

psychedelic blue smoke of course, there's another kind?

So why not just buy the heads and bolt them on, why the heck do they need ported? Nobody wants to do a dyno on that. I can't believe they can not out do my heads that are ported and they are not maxed out.

If these can't out do my ported heads then I would be not happy about that one so we need you whoever that is to put these heads on a 10.5 comp engine and go do a dyno session and give some real world numbers of unported aluminum ported heads for the 350. Takers anyone?

I am not in a position to do this otherwise I would. But I do know someone that should have done this more than 2 years ago now maybe 4 since time flies so fast now.

Mark, not a pro but I use an inside caliper to compare port size and a burette and piece of plexiglass to cc the chamber. Unshroud valves. My stage 1 porting is to match intake and exhaust gaskets clean up bowl and "bullet" end of valve guide. Flatten short side radius a little. Plan on DIY flow bench in the future.

    Cool, thanks Jim:D
I’ve been theorizing on how to quantify any improvements to air flow.
I have compressed air, so the air part isn’t an issue, it’s how can I measure the before and after difference and have it mean something??o_O
