As the title reads, I'm looking for a set of 15" rally wheels for my 71 GS. I have the center caps but wanted to ask the forum members who is offering a nice repop rally wheel? I need front wheels so 15 x 7 4.5BS.
You can get them from many sources. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wvi-57-573404/overview/ http://www.specialtywheel.com/product-showcase/buick/buick-rallye.html http://www.cokertire.com/wheels/rallye-wheels/buick-rallye-wheel.html http://www.opgi.com/skylark/S210053?gclid=CJLur6GS6r4CFW4R7Aodi0EAmQ
Larry, Yes, but I am wondering if they are all selling the same wheel? I think they probably are, which is too bad. The ones I bought from Wheel Vintiques rusted the first time I left them out in the rain. True, I hadn't waxed them, but still. As well, they are almost impossible to balance and need to be balanced using a lug-centric balancer or adaptor--usually used for big, sloppy truck wheels. Our Board member who sells wheels (can't recall his name--Steve Caruso?) told me that everyone uses the same wheel shells, If so, that's too bad. Best, Ranger Aiken, SC
Not sure, but probably true. I bought all my wheels 10 years ago. Wheel Vintiques were my first set. They are flawless to this day, so I can only conclude that the quality was better back then. My car rarely gets wet, but it has been in the rain a dozen times in the 14 years I have owned it. The wheels look great to this day.
