We in the Bonneville Buick Club had a little Buick show for Father's Day down at the senior center. I had never seen this car before... and it is spectacular. I never caught up with the owner, but I believe it to be a 1953, could be a '54 possibly. These were the cars made especially for Buick's 50th anniversary, mostly hand made, chopped and sectioned from Roadmasters pulled from the assembly line. Definitely the most gorgeous car, and gorgeous restoration, I have ever seen.
Here's a 1956 Buick Special. Super sharp car. My brother most eloquently pointed out, "It's Art Deco as &^@#!"
Here's a gorgeous 1954 Roadmaster 70 Series. Body and paint was just completed recently. One family car. Interior and mechanical is all original.
1953 Roadmaster. Gorgeous car, with an awesome color combo. The license plate frame reads "MASTER OF THE ROAD" :Brow:
1966 Riviera GS. Original owner. 425-4 (just the single, thought he had to restrain himself from special ordering the dual quad.)
Great pictures Mike. The Skylark is awsome. It is funny how you notice things that you hadn't before. The chrome that runs under the windshield around and along the top of the door, stops at the end of the wing window on those. I hadn't noticed that in the past. If you notice on the 53 Roadmaster it goes all the way around the car. If the Roadmaster had a black top it would look just like mine did before I ruined it. I'm surprised there isn't red under the chrome spear on the side also. Thanks for posting the pictures. The first one's a '53 Skylark. One of my all-time favorite Buicks. Those are all great cars. Thanks for the posts.
Nice photos of nice cars! Thanks for posting those! the '53 Skylarks started out as Roadmaster convertibles. They were pulled from the line and hand customized by cutting down the doors, opening the fenders and lowering the seat. Among other custom touches. Some of the Roadmaster badging remained. The '53 Skylarks are based on the Roadmaster the '54 Skylarks are based on the Century
