Looking for original or reproduction interior kits for a 1959 Buick LaSabre. Or recommendations to interior restoration shops. We are located in Southern California. Appreciate any referrals.
You can have SMS auto fabrics make the door panels and supply you OEM material for the seats. It will take some time for the door panels.
There's no repro kits available, but yes: SMS scratch makes them. I hear the wait time is over a year, don't know that's accurate first-hand. Luckily the door cards interchange across the other divisions (one of the very few bits in '59 that crosses over); Chevy door cards are readily available to start. LeSabre is a bit easier in that the door panels don't have the textured Mylar the Invicta does. '59 Invicta coupe here...
SMS can make you everything you need. However they take your money up front and do not tell you how long it will take or respond to you. It will take a year or more to receive. You can buy original fabric from them and have your local upholstery shop sew up seats for you. They have most in stock and do ship within a couple weeks. You can look up trim codes on hometownbuick.com and then have SMS mail you samples. Hope this helps you, nice 59!
