    Topcat Got TORQUE?

From a 1 of 2 ever made 1965 Wildcat 4 door. This was a great running motor when i pulled it and put it on the stand in 1990. It has been in great storage in the shop here at the Cat's Lair. I assume that you could do a little prep work, drop this in a car, start it and GO. For those of you not familiar with a big car stick motor....they had heavier flywheels to help get the heavier car rolling. What that means is in an A-body or a street rod this motor makes it very easy to light the tires or get off the line quicker.
The car showed 68,xxx miles when i pulled it.....the heads are painted a dark blue so i assume a valve job was done on it at some point.
I kept this motor all these years in case i ever blew the solid lifter motor in TOPCAT or wanted to take the car back to a stock configuration......the car is sold and gone so this motor will be too.
Offered up here before i take it to the H.A.M.B. board or the Wildcat group on facebook......
Pictures soon....when i can roll it out and get some good shots.

    $2,000.00 o.b.o. you pick up.

Are you selling both the engine and the transmission? Is the shifter & consolette included with the 4-speed? Is the AC compressor and all the belt-drive items on the engine coming with the engine? Where is the Cat's Lair shop located (for pickup)?

The only thing i am selling is the motor......transmission,shifter and consolette went into TOPCAT........disc and pressure plate that came with the motor are included. AC compressor and PS pump not included but i have the brackets that are included.

You can call me if you want to talk about the motor.

Rockers are super clean and the push rods are tubular so i am sure the top end has been done at some time.

May be interested. How difficult is it to drop this into a 64 A-Body? Currently running a 300 Automatic but have all the parts necessary to do a 4 speed conversion.

You will need motor mounts and frame pads from a 65 or 66 GS A body

I think the oil pans are different, so the dip stick lengths will be different as well.

    wheelz 'B' is for Buick.

Hey Bill! FWIW, this may help you sell the motor, er maybe not...dunno. However, I have the perfect 2x4 setup or a TRI power setup for your motor as well. . . Just throw'n it out there in case someone want to build an awesome Nailhead. No offense intended to jump into your post. I will delete this post if you so desire.
