Looking to replace mine as part of a complete prop shaft rebuild GM Saginaw part# 1389864 Fort Wayne clutch shows a Spicer part# of 211011X which they are out of stock and is now discontinued. Any ideas on what unobtainium I can obtain to replace this unobtainium???
Contact Tom Telesco, he has a driveshaft for that car. Another option is to take it to a driveline shop and have them retrofit a more modern joint in, my Electra is now running a Hyundai CV (I think it's Hyundai, or maybe it's Acura...I can't remember!) joint in place of that whole mess. It's been 3 years and a few burnouts but no issues with the new joint flying apart with the torque.
Gentlemen, thanks for your responses. I may just grab that NOS kit, but I did manage to find the Spicer kit at Denny's driveshaft. I bought 2. Same thing applies for the Moog 492 U-joint, which fits the CV, and has also been discontinued. Got 1 locally, found 2 on Rock Auto, so I grabbed them.
