    Hello
What is the difference on a 66 vs 65 425 fuel pump?
What brand and where should I get it.
    Thanks Pat

They list replacement mechanical pumps on rockauto. You want an NOS one?

I believe 1966 was the first year for the AC with crimped-on bottoms. My 65 401 had a Carter 2-piece where the bottom had screws holding it together.
The most important detail is to get the proper pump depending on whether your car has air conditioning or not. Air conditioned cars had an additional fuel line to return fuel to the gas tank.

Rockauto only lists 2 line pumps.

    Hi Larry
Thanks for the info I was looking on Rock Auto but I couldn't find the pump under a wildcat.

Yeah, I had no idea what car you had, so I used a Riviera. You should create a signature like I did. Then everyone can see what Buicks you own.

Walt- if the 66 fuel pump has the return at the pump, then they must have done away with the
65 a/c fuel filter that had the return line at the filter, right?

Ted, I could be wrong about the return on the fuel pump. I don't have any AC cars. I'll check my parts book when I have a day off.

    thm350,
Just happened to come across this thread, almost by accident....
Are you still looking for the one year only --- 1966 --- fuel pump, that has been obsolete by every company for more than 20 years ????
I have a couple remaining NEW ones.....

Always best to simply call me --- Craig ---
