Yep missing them all, regular ole 66 Wildcat convertible, sent the seller these pics also so he can correct his ad before getting slammed with GS hunters

The car was certainly nicely equipped although not a standout color by any means. A red interior would have helped Shell Beige out alot. It appears the car may have been a nice car and put away somewhere and left rot.

This car was on the St. Louis CL last week but the ad was pulled before I could post it.

The add is totally wrong worded. It should at least say "barnfind"

    ;-)

John F - I doubt this changes his tactic but it might. If he was asking $7500, it would NOT, because we would know greed was a major component on his mind. In my opinion. But taken as it sits, bucket seat console well equipped 66 Wildcat convertibles are hard to find. Making this a "fair" value at < $3000. cash would probably talk on this one, so maybe $2400 or so gets you a rare 60's convertible, FWIW.

Patrick - I smiled, but agree 100%. Looking at the dust accumulation and such, clearly a long stored car so Barn Find works here.

Correction though - It is not a console shift car. Bucket's & short console, yes, but column shifted.

Thanks Steve, it rolls off the fingers - bucket seats and console. Bucket seats and column shift, no so much! Still a nice set up.

OK V-8 Buick People: I really love this. A 66 Wildcat convert with great options and it's not wiped out. The price is not too far outta whack either. It IS a commitment. Presentation is crap though.

I can get this heap looking 1000% better (+ -) in an hour with some chemicals and elbow grease. Mitch

Didn't all the GS 'cats have block letters and not the script?

For that kind of money, it's worth every pound of rust it has. The way this thing is loaded out, it would make a great project, it's a Wildcat Custom and it has most of what makes it a custom.
Bill, this would be one to go for, as long as it isn't packed with mud. I have a funny feeling since the tranny is set to 1st it's probably shot.

My idea is to "make it happen". Private joke between Bill and I. Fly him out there and rent a whatever to get it back. Bring my SIL with to help drive and to return the truck/trailer...whatever. Thoughts, ideas. What should I find out about hauling this thing. Bill will need wheels and trailer to bring it home.
We are experiencing unusually warm weather. That is bound to change. Need something done before that or else it will be a forget until spring. I can truly use help on this one. I made the other one happen in like 6 hours. This is different....ppat

He Marc... thanks for the encouragement... Aint Pat the bomb??? Most of the other stuff we've looked at was roached beyond comparison. Heck, this could handle a 455 with a 4 speed real easy. It would be a one of none LOL... ws

I say buy it and have it shipped. ASAP before someone snatches it up.

Working it out and something else came up too... thats another story for now... Whats the most direct method of determining if the power is a 401 vs a 425? This is all being done by email to some one possibly unknowing about Buick stuff. Hell, Im new to nailhead stuff too! ws

We need the financial help. Like Bill said something is also in the works as of last night and as long as I don't have to go this late in the season I am good. I am just tired of searching. Want the correct car for Bill which is a 4 speed manual....ppat
