So.. finally yesterday it got inspected.... 4 small problems they found.. the hardest to fix will be to find a new direct level switch.. it didnt stay when you signal right so you must hold it ... regards stig
You should be able to find that signal switch fairly easily; - they were used in 1967 and 1968. The 67 might be a little different only because it doesn't have marker lights and the front signal lights go off when the headlights are put on; - the 68 is more "modern", but I think that had more to do with the headlight switch than the signal switch. I can't read Swedish, what else was wrong? Good that it is saved; that will be a nice car when finished. If the wood on the dash is dry, you can try a paint stripper with steel wool to get the old varnish off, (carefully!) and then treat it liberally with Danish furniture oil; - it brings it right back. I did that to mine a few years ago and it still looks great
hello ok..il search around for a switch it was hairline cracks in both front brake hoses and it was a 31 procent differece beetween the brakes on the rear axle.. 30 is maximum S
I already asked about that...and got a respectful silence in return, I get this impression he wants to keep it!
Well guys...if I sell the 8 track... how in h .piiip.l can I then play old 8 tracks in the car ??? Thats another tricky one (lol) s
Then do you want to buy some 8-tracks? I've got about 300 of either Rock or Country that came with my car when it returned to me. The goat-roping (country and western music) stuff can all be sold, before I use it for skeet-shooting or leave it in jumbled heaps on curbs to remind people what streets during the 70s looked like.
Excellent! Good to see an older 4 door Electra getting some love. I sold my 67 Wildcat so I don't need the 8 track anymore. I installed a newer (1968) one in the Electra, and it works well enough. It looks like it belongs there. Now to get the cruise control working... Enjoy your car!
Hey Guys, my friend Junior just sent this to me. Whatever became of this car? Cause if this car was available now, I'd come get it.
