Fellas,....youWAINT GONNA BELIEVE THIS...the seller is draggin his feet...and I know why. Late friday, SOMEONE went by and brought along his "bodyman" to look over this car.....they are.......GET THIS... THEY ARE GOING TO RESTORE THIS CAR!!?!?!?!? :puzzled: :Do No: :spank:   :Dou: Yea..you read it correctly. I dunno about any of you, but RESTORING THIS CAR is nutzo. UNLESS OF COURSE...they own stock in the Bondo corporation. simply UNBELIEVABLE.
Nevertheless, the seller has given these two young brothers until wednesday to come up with the money. I'm tired of playing this game already. We'll see where this goes. Stay tuned. Wheelz, Tampa Bay

it is the same air cleaner that the Riviera GS came with, 14"x3" element with the wide single snorkel, my 69 Riviera GS has a standard Riv air cleaner on it(probably came that way as not all the cars got them even though they were suppose to) and I want the correct one for the car.

UPDATE: SHORT VERSION....if I can keep it short!

I received a call from the seller at 12:54 this afternoon: He tells me "IF I AM STILL INTERESTED, I REALLY NEED TO GET THIS CAR OUT OF HIS SERVICE AREA BY 2:00 TODAY!!?"

I ASK why THE RUSH ALREADY??? He says "dont waste time asking, just GET HERE..bring a trailer and DO IT NOW"... he hangs up.

I scurry home, load my tow dolly, grab some tools, $500 cash and make a beeline to his shop. I got there in about 16 minutes. he tells me "his guys will help load the car", and "he wants me out of there by 2:00, thats in 45 minutes!" His guys pushed the car onto my dolly while the seller explained:
"The two brothers who want this car SOOO BADLY..have been to his shop THREE TIMES TODAY ALREADY..The first time they showed up with $220 in cash (all $5's and $10's.. yea, WONDER where THAT cash came from??) and they also had some serious weapons in their trunk..." he sent them away.
These guys returned with a "3rd dood now, and offered $360 in cash, more weapons and some gold plated look-like-crack pipes" he says. Again he sent them on their way. An hour later, at 12:45 they showed up, NOW 5 of them, all apparently "throwing their cash, more $5's & $10's on the hood of this car", asking the seller to "count it as they surrounded him"... VERY UNCOMFORTABLE NOW, he kindly asked them to leave because "he was no longer interested in selling them this car, besides he already had another buyer."

By this time, the car was now loaded on my tow dolly and I handed him my cash, in $50's, and I was about to pull away when he stopped me and asked "IF I wanted the hood he custom built for another $150?" WHAT HOOD? I saw this hood and grabbed it along with 5 original 14x6 JK E coded 68 wheels with ribbed center caps! ...and he also handed me a decent 68 GS grille & door panels....we loaded that stuff and he literally pushed me outa his driveway! He said GO NOW. & I went! :TU:

I dunno what happened to him after I left but I do know he was expecting those boys to return....but this time they would come back to an empty space..the car was on its way to my place. Finally.

So, thats the SHORT VERSION of the story and I'm sticking to it!

NOW, I will soon post some pix of parts I will be selling here, as soon as my heart rate settles a bit.

Meanwhile.....a few pix to stare at....

    Ok now, here we go:
    Maintool-GS: first right to refuse:
    GRILLE:
the center section YOU SEE is actually dern-nice, all the 'points' are intact, there are no busted/chipped ribbed areas... but the lower edge and a few mounts will need some work: $165.
FENDER VENTS: these are a mess.. visual side pitting is deep..I have no idea what these look like on the 'backside' till I gettum off the car... The 'GS' and '400' appear to be pretty-much the same condition. $50 all 6 pieces and HOPE I dont bust some'n getting them off!!
TRUNK TRIM: stainless trims are nice, straight..well NOT straight, but 'curved" but straight without dents/dings etc.. the end pieces are chrome crazed but the mounting studs are not busted and the "GS400" emblem is quite nice, very slight pitting, it would cleanup nice with new paint and look reeeel preddy on your car, except...all the studs are busted off... O'daingit. Too bad too, this would definitely make a nice piece once restored...$60 all 5 pieces.
LONG ARM RESTS do not exist.
WHEELWELL TRIMS: these appear to be from a standard Lark..the rear ww trims ONLY, are short, dont go all the way to the bottom and I assume are part of the narrow long side molding found on Larkx of that era. I do not have front ww trims: $95 I believe there are 5 pieces per side.
(If these molding/trims are NOT what you want, PLEASE ADVISE ASAP so I can post them still available)

REPLY HERE ASAP if you intend to buy the above items. NO PM'S please.
