Good looking car! I see a few things wrong but it sure is sweet! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1968-buick-gs400-6/ Patrick
In the mid 70's I had a '68 Skylark Custom vert in the same color combo, and remember paying $850.00 for it. But only had it 2 yrs before it was stolen and stripped.
The '68-9 rear bumpers look so good when they line up and so bad when they don't. I don't know much about stepchildren - Is it an adjustment issue or when getting re-chromed do the platers "straighten" them incorrectly? Seems to me on this car for example that at least some of those gaps could be made better by loosening the bracket to frame bolts & forcing the end up & re-tightening while holding the end in place.
Dano , Yes I think a lot of that can be fixed with a adjustment . Yes The platers dont often get them perfectly straight. I have cracked chrome trying to tweak them after paying for a re-chrome. Its only going to get harder as the straight cores dry up and the old chrome guys retire.
