This restoration-worthy classic has the original 430 and TH400. Mostly complete, not 100%. Some trim missing. For the most part, this car is ready for a new lease on life in most every respect.
The original carb is in a box and an Edelbrock is currently feeding the engine. The original QJ was also just rebuilt and ready to mount. It has the divorced choke. The fuel tank is professionally rebuilt and sealed as of 8/22. I tried the top and it began raising. The top is shot. I have tape patches here and there.
The interior is very good except the driver's seat bottom has tears. I have two Fisher door sill plates brand new in the box for this car.
The engine does have a slight manifold leak near the front and you can hear it pretty easy.
The only problem I see is the passenger door is not the right door. It is a crank style. All the electric windows work-except that one, obviously. I didn't take a pic of it.
The engine seems really strong, has new ignition parts, but is not dialed in just right. I have not set dwell or timing.
I have not street driven this car. Just moved it around. Some vacuum lines are not there, it's stumbling a little, but it just needs to be set up right by the next owner.
The $7500 asking price seems fair considering the overall condition, and the gas tank repair, which was not cheap.
The RR 1/4 panel has been straightened and primed recently. It needed it.
Location is SE Wisconsin, about 50 miles north of the border.
So who wants to restore the car the ladies loved?
