Yes, Twilight Blue. Oddly enough, I had the paint supplier mix up a batch of 69 and 70 blues…they were nowhere near close, but the 70 the mixed was pretty close. I had them custom mix this one based on the trunk lid paint that was still original.

Is this Eldon from Pennsylvania's former car? If so I drove it back in the 90's and had an opportunity to buy it. All the numbers checked out.

I know it comes from the NE, but the owner probably knows that answer.

Ready to start cut and buff tomorrow.

this top frame nearly sent me to the asylum. Right frame rail had a bend in it that was causing it not to stack properly, and was not moving at the same speed as the left side. I had a restored frame rail that I swapped it out with, but it was so sloppy, I couldn’t use it either. Parts car had a good one, so on it went. Bled lines and it’s ready for top install on Thursday.

    I need a drink.

Top is on. Paint is cut down and I’ve started buffing. Hoping to be done with buffing Monday sometime. Sunday would be a stretch, but it’s on my schedule to be done by then. I have a pinstripe guy coming to do this one and the white unveil 69 on Monday.

Cut and buff done...and first of two step polish done. I will wait until the car is pretty much complete to touch up the polish and complete the last step.
