Nope probably more worried someone will do a statewide search using the VIN some states will do it for a fee and then it gets stolen. Thats why a lot of guys delete the plates in pics posted of their cars
With the "trailer hitch" 4 speed car languishing at $89,900 or offer, I would think $95,000 is overly optimistic. While it is an attractive unrestored example, the missing original carburetor and distributor are a strike against it. It would be interesting to see what it would bring at auction.
Does anyone know who owns this car now, I knew the owner and it was absolutely an original mile car. When I was reading the story about the driver door cap I knew it was the car ,found the pictures and confirmed it. Story was a little off.... owner was a police officer NYPD ( sergeant) he did drive it to work parked in a police lot they tried to steal car, it had a kill switch they could not start it they left the set of GM master ignition keys on the floor. and yes he popped in a chrome cap from where a faucet spray would go. He did not catch the guy trying to steal the car. Probably a good thing for that guy. As far as the exhaust they were chrome extensions that he angled that way. Great car
The post is four years old. I agree though. I don't get posting an ad but no pics. Once the ad is gone so are the pics. Anyone know what happened on this sale? 95k four years ago? Wow.
Those are the pics from the ad back in 11/16, last I actually seen the car was 1988-89 car was in pristine condition. The modifications dist/carb We’re done early 70,s. He had the original parts boxed and tagged. Have some good memories with the original owner.
